This tagline brought together 300 UMBC students for a night of great local music. The lineup included:
On Thursday, February 9th 2023, WMBC (in collaboration with
Retriever Music Society) held its first event of the year. We dubbed it the “Lonely Hearts Club Music Festival”. Local bands from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area had the opportunity to play and sell their merchandise. The bands played everything from indie rock to rap. The event was a huge success, selling out all 300 free tickets to UMBC students and the general public! We were thrilled to see the turnout at our first event in over 2 years and want to give special thanks to all of the groups that performed. The event would not have been a success without you all!!
